Why ‘Ruru’?
The Ruru (morepork owl) is a kaitiaki, a guardian and messenger in te ao Māori. It watches, listens, and guides quietly in the darkness. Ruru Healing Services honours that symbolism: a place of watchful care, gentle strength, and healing insight.

I provide SWRB-aligned professional supervision for social workers and allied professionals. Supervision is ethical, reflective, and practical, supporting sustainable practice, complex caseloads, and professional wellbeing. Available for individuals and groups, with culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches tailored to your role and setting.
ACC Sensitive Claims Support
(Children & Adults)
I offer ACC-funded social work and counselling under the Sensitive Claims pathway for children and adults who have experienced sexual violence, recent or historic. Support is trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and delivered at your pace, with guidance through ACC processes and a focus on safe, respectful recovery and long-term wellbeing.
